1. Service Provision
Our Services Include:
- CCTV system installation and maintenance
- Intruder alarm systems and monitoring
- Access control and intercom systems
- TV wall mounting and setup
- Aerial and satellite installation
- Technical support and aftercare
Service Standards:
- All work performed by qualified engineers
- Professional-grade equipment and materials
- Compliance with relevant industry standards
- Free site surveys and quotations
2. Pricing and Payment Terms
Quotations:
- All quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated
- Prices include VAT where applicable
- Additional work requires separate quotation and approval
Payment:
- Payment due upon completion of work
- Accepted methods: Cash, bank transfer, card payment
- Late payment charges may apply after 30 days
3. Warranties and Guarantees
Installation Warranty:
- 12-month warranty on all installation work
- Manufacturer warranties apply to equipment
- Free return visits for warranty issues
- Unlimited technical aftercare included
Warranty Exclusions:
- Damage caused by misuse or negligence
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage from external factors (weather, power surges)
- Modifications by third parties
4. Limitation of Liability
Security Etc's liability is limited as follows:
- Total liability limited to the value of services provided
- No liability for consequential or indirect losses
- Security systems are deterrents and cannot guarantee prevention of all incidents
- Customer responsible for regular system maintenance and monitoring
- Insurance claims should be directed to appropriate insurers
5. Customer Responsibilities
- Provide safe and reasonable access to installation areas
- Ensure power supply and internet connectivity where required
- Inform us of any changes to property or requirements
- Follow operating instructions and maintenance guidelines
- Report faults or issues promptly
- Comply with relevant laws and regulations regarding security systems
6. Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellation Rights:
- 14-day cooling-off period for residential customers
- Cancellation must be in writing
- Work already commenced may be chargeable
Refund Policy:
- Refunds processed within 14 days of approved cancellation
- Equipment costs may be deducted if already supplied
- Custom installations may have different terms
7. Data Protection and Privacy
We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with GDPR and UK data protection laws:
- Personal data used only for service provision and communication
- CCTV footage remains your property and responsibility
- We may retain service records for warranty and legal purposes

8. Dispute Resolution
We aim to resolve any disputes amicably:
- Contact us directly to discuss any concerns
- Formal complaints should be made in writing
- We will investigate and respond within 14 days

9. Force Majeure
Security Etc shall not be liable for delays or failures in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God, government actions, war, terrorism, pandemic, strikes, material shortages, or other unforeseeable events.
